Land Rover Takes WaveBox® Microwaves on Overland Expedition

As Land Rover makes its historic overland expedition from Solihull to Singapore to celebrate its 60th anniversary, WaveBox® portable microwaves are on board to provide drivers and crew with hot food and drink across the 27 653 km route.

As part of its GO60 expedition, Land Rover is racing five Discovery 3 and Defender 4x4s over all sorts of terrain, from desert sands to the 4700 m Khunjerab Pass between Kashmir and China. The trek began May 3 in the borough of Solihull and will finish in early July in Singapore. The route passes through such countries as France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Germany, Poland, Belarus, Russia, Pakistan, India, and China.

The GO60 challenge recreates Land Rover's first overland expedition from London to Singapore in 1956 and celebrates Land Rover's 60th birthday. The event will raise funds for the Red Cross.
