Camping Life Magazine Features the WaveBox®
The WaveBox® portable microwave is “ideal for the family camper looking for a way to get food cooked or reheated quickly without propane, charcoal, wood or a flame of any kind,” according to a product review in the May 2007 issue of Woodall’s Camping Life magazine.
Editor Stuart Bourdon reviewed the WaveBox® for Camping Life’s “Tested” products section. The review said the portable microwave is a good cooking and heating option for a range of outdoors enthusiasts.
“The WaveBox ($200) portable microwave offers the cooking ability of the built-in microwaves often offered as optional equipment in lightweight travel trailers, camper-vans and truck campers,” Bourdon wrote. “Its portability also makes it an excellent choice for tenters who are in campgrounds with electrical service or camp near their vehicle.”
The WaveBox® did a good job in cooking tests done by the magazine using the microwave’s retractable AC cord.
“The WaveBox performed admirably,” the review said. “Sporting a carry handle on the top of its 15x10x11 inch case, the WaveBox truly is a portable product.”
Bob Stimson, sales vice president for the WaveBox®, said the portable microwave will expand the cooking options for campers and outdoors enthusiasts. “That was a key focus when we designed the WaveBox® — to bring kitchen cooking power outdoors, and onto the open road.”
